Loved it. Mt Shivling and the Tapovan campsite reminded me of a friend who quit commerce and chased peaks after we survived an avlanche on the same peak.
Wow Rajinder, super that you recognised it! Adn yes Mt Shivling is a tough peak. When I was at Tapovan, met an East european team, who unfortunately died while attempting Shivling.
Sad for the loss of a climber, mountaineer and one of our fraternity. Shivling is a diamond that can easily be identified, we have been there a more than twice - once navigating around Shivling to the BC of Meru and once for Bhagirathi BC
I loved the idea of explorer and of course the beautiful writing. I was almost having coffee with you, outside the tent and also at Orchid Hotel.
I really liked the thought of an accidental company, with "no grand vision." I so relate to it. Visions look good in PowerPoint, and in many cases those slides are made after we pronounce, " and the rest is history."
Wonderful read, and very relatable for me as a fellow explorer.
Thanks a lot Naina. Glad to meet a fellow explorer!

Glad you liked it Suva. Yes those powerpoints often celebrate with 20/20 vision after the fact!

Thanks Parool, appreciate that you spent your time reading my essay-thanks again!
We loved listening to you read from this powerful personal essay, Ajay!
Thanks Natasha & Raju, thankfully I don't write like a rajdhani, compared to the way I speak...or do i?
